Sharon S.Y. Lee, fiction writer and attorney

Sharon S.Y. Lee is a Chinese and Taiwanese American writer and nonprofit legal services attorney. She is the third place winner of the 2025 San Diego Public Library’s Short Story Contest. Her work has also appeared in A Year in Ink, a San Diego anthology.

She is an alum of Tin House Workshop and Napa Valley Writers’ Conference. She serves as a board member of San Diego Writers, Ink, a literary arts organization.

Currently, Sharon is working on a linked short story collection titled Isolation Tank. She is seeking agent representation for this collection.

Sharon writes about Asian American families, our modern world, bodies of water, rage, and the absurdity of daily life.
